Simien Nanomaterials Group
The Simien Nanomaterials Group at West Virginia University is seeking to fill graduate student appointments in flexible electronic materials developed from single walled carbon nanotubes and “smart” nanocomposite materials research. Undergraduate background in one or more of the following areas, including materials science and engineering; mechanical engineering with knowledge of materials characterization; structural, and electrical properties is preferred along with demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and work independently to initiate, conduct, and complete appointed research tasks.
The graduate student positions are available in August 2010 or sooner, and offer a competitive salary opportunities. Candidates should submit the following: a one page cover letter explaining your background and interests, a transcript and a résumé listing three references. Minority candidates and traditionally underrepresented candidates are especially recommended to apply.
